TSX Composite Index Description - The S&P TSX Composite Index is one of the leading indexes of the Toronto Stock Exchange. The companies whose stocks are included in the index account for more than 70% of the market capitalization of the Toronto Stock Exchange.

TSX Composite Quotes - Provide the most recent transactions, including volume, advance or decline, new highs and new lows, a comparison of present and average volumes and the volume increase or decrease.

TSX Composite stocks - In 2009 more than 200 Canadian companies are included in the TSX Composite Index. Such companies as FAIRFAX FINL HLDGS SUB-VTG COM (TSX Ticker: FFH), POTASH CORP SASK COM NPV (TSX Ticker: POT), RESEARCH IN MOTION LTD (TSX Ticker: RIM)) are among the largest companies in the TSX Composite Index basket.

TSX Composite trading systems - A trading system can be defined as a set of rules that indicate trading entry and exit points. In general, a trading system's rules are based on the various indicators of technical analysis that provide feedback about the strength and direction of a trend. Trading systems may be developed to satisfy specific needs of individual traders.

TSX History - The Toronto Stock Exchange was officially created by twenty-four men on October 25, 1861, at the Masonic Hall. The main objective of these businessmen was to establish communications among members to facilitate the exchange of stocks, shares, bonds, mortgages, and other loans.
